I always forget to take before pictures. Hannah sent me such a lovely bundle of vintage fabric pieces, but I started cutting into them right away.
I made simple quilted coasters out of one of the fabrics. I love the sweet floral print.

Thanks Jennifer!

Love from Perches

Hello Dear Friends,

This has taken forever for me to get up here. But I got a lovely package from Perches a few weeks back.

Here are some photos!

She made awesome coasters-- with our names handstamped. They are beautiful.

Yellow thread, buttons, a great little book, tea towel, vintage lace. I felt so spoiled! Perches, thank you so much for this box of joy! I was thrilled to get to know you!

A vintage swap box!

Hooray!  I received my vintage swap package!!

I wrote about it here.
Thanks so much to my partner, Annie of MissMouse crafts

Goodies From Over the Pond

Look at all the goodies I got from my wonderful partner Hannah! All my favorites--vintage knitting needles, a perfect little glass jar, some British kitsch and candy, hankies, a sewing kit....ahhh! Too much fun!

Literally, when I saw the knitting needles I let out such a loud, "AWESOME!" that it scared my dogs a little. Thanks Hannah!

Vintage Canada

My package from Shelley in Waterloo, Canada arrived last week. Inside were several vintage lovelies that brightened an otherwise gray, rainy day. It included a set of Irish linen hankies,

two beautiful doilies,

this soft and delicate embroidered hankie, and a set of floral note cards (not pictured). Thank you Shelley!

Here's a peek at what I sent to Shelley...a set of Autumn Harvest Pyrex,

a New England cookbook c. 1935, a floral tablecloth and some fabric in her favorite shades of blue. I hope you enjoy them Shelley.

Holiday Ornament Swap

Hi Vintage Swappers!

I wanted to alert you all to one of my favorite annual swaps.

Swap-bot swap: Holiday Ornament Swap '09 hosted by freshlyblended
4th Annual Holiday Ornament Swap on Swap-bot!

Sign-ups are going on now over at Swap-bot. I've participated in this swap every year since it started, and it is one of my absolute favorites. I've posted a little more info about it over at my blog. Sign-ups close November 7th!

Sent.

My swap partner, Kristy, doesn't have a blog, but as I've mentioned before she does have a nifty Etsy shop where she sells bags, aprons, and other goodies that she sews up using vintage fabric and other finds. I spent my time combing thrift stores for sewing goodies for her.

She's received her package, so I've posted on my blog about the swap items I sent her--I didn't think to take one photo showing everything at once or I'd post that here for you to see. But here's a taste:

Vintage pincushion made from tiny 1960's or 1970's polyester scraps.

Hope everyone is enjoying the contents of their swap packages--I certainly am.

Take a Peek

...at what I sent to Heather. Hope everyone is enjoying the post-Halloween calm. Happy November!

Swap Exchange

I just wanted to share the wonderful goodness that Julie sent me in the swap.

This bag that she made of vintage fabrics is wonderful!!! How did she know that my old, hand-me-down, canvas tote bag had a fraying handle that was just about to break. Is large enough for our library books and my knitting and snacks and.....

The apple glass dish has been taking center stage in our home during this autumn season.

The vintage cloth and napkins will probably find some hand embroidery on them by springtime as they are a beautiful soft robin eggshell color and the vintage heavy cloth would be wonderful for a bag or....

Thank you so much Julie!

Warm wishes. Tonya
