This is lovely...what did you sew them on? I have a curtain of vintage handerchiefs...
Sandee, thank you. Several years ago my girlfriend gave me an antique French linen sheet that I have been saving for just the right project. I was difficult ripping it up but now instead of being stored away I can see it every day! Post a photo of your hanky curtain, I would love to see it!Your friend, Camille
This is wonderful! I love how the doilies are more appreciated than ever this way.
oh these curtains are so pretty! i love how the sunlight filters through the doilies. at my wedding last year i used doilies to decorate the tables and since then i've been using my stockpile to make doily pillows and jewelry holders. i've also seen them used in a pretty bathroom makeover--they were sewn onto the shower curtain and shower mat.
sweet! i loved heather's (of beauty that moves) idea to place them in an embroidery hoop (as a frame) and use that as an earring holder.nicolahttp://whichname.blogspot.com
This is just so pretty. I love it.
That is gorgeous! Such an authentic and delicate look, very turn of the century Paris. Well done!
Thank you for all your kind comments. It means so much to me.Your friend Camille!
Oh, this is lovely! Did you use an existing window shade or did you make your own?
